His interest in politics was fueled from home. Lahren recalls that his family’s dinner hour was marked by political discussions.
Tomi Lahren attended Central High School in South Dakota, where she served as student body president and school board representative.
She then enrolled at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she served as associate producer and then host of college television’s political roundtable, The Scramble.
Lahren told RCJ that her time on The Scramble reinforced her love for political commentary, as she was able to “facilitate honest and open dialogue.”
She also said the show allowed her to “gain the experience I needed as a host of my own show.”
After graduating from college in 2014, Lahrena worked as an intern in the fast city office of Republican Congresswoman Kristi Noem. Her experience here, she also revealed, cemented her love for political commentary while giving reasons why she should never aspire to political office.
OAN Network
Looking for political commentary internships, Lahren came across the new San Diego-based One America News Network (OANN). She submitted her application and was invited for an interview.
Lahren was so impressed with the interview that she was offered the chance to start her own television show rather than start the internship job she had applied for.
She gladly accepted the offer and moved to San Diego in 2014 to launch her show called “On Point with Tomi Lahren”.
Lahren’s bold and unapologetic comments quickly caught on with her lovers and of course haters too. However, in the end, it brought him the visibility needed at the nascent stage of his career.
In August 2015, Lahren announced on Twitter that she had hosted her final show on OANN.
I have completed my last exhibition at OANN and am deeply grateful to them for their support over the past year. Something new is coming… #TeamTomi

the fire
In November 2015, Lahren started a new show on TheBlaze, a new network created by former Fox News host Glenn Beck. Lahren immediately became the star of the network thanks to the show’s highly controversial “Final Thoughts” segment.
On one occasion, she criticized Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime Black Lives Matter performance. Watch the clip below;
Lahren endorsed Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio in January 2016, but later switched sides to real estate mogul Donald Trump.
She became an unofficial adviser to the social media team in the Trump presidential campaign. Lahren campaigned hard for Trump and helped educate young people about Trump’s policies.
After Trump’s victory, Lahren appeared on Fox News to talk about her involvement in the presidential campaign. Trump also called her to express his gratitude.
She told Washington Magazine; “He called and said, ‘Thank you for your fair coverage of me. “
Like Trump, Lahren has been called a white supremacist and racist, but she challenges it at every opportunity.
Another career highlight was his appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah in November 2016.

The drama of sight
Lahren appeared on The View in March 2017 and became her own downfall when she said she was pro-choice and a supporter of abortion rights. She defended her opinion saying:
“I am someone for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government, but I think government should decide what women do with their bodies. “
This came as a surprise to most of her conservative fans and worse, her pro-life employer. The Blaze suspended her show and demanded that she go black on Facebook, where she has more than 4 million followers.
Lahren didn’t have it, she sued The Blaze for wrongful termination. However, the Blaze fired back saying she was not fired but was suspended with pay. The two parties finally settled their accounts in May and went their separate ways.
Lahren was allowed to keep her Facebook page but deleted all videos related to The Blaze.
Watch her appearance on the view below;
She gave her first interview with the magazine since her ousting from The Blaze in June 2017, explaining how she felt about the saga.
Lahren as of July 2017 works with a pro-Trump advocacy nonprofit group, Great America. The group aims to mobilize grassroots support for President Trump’s agenda. It is chaired by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
