Somerset man busted with drugs, guns following traffic stop, DA says
Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — According to acting Somerset County District Attorney Molly Metzgar, a Somerset man is behind bars following a late night traffic stop by state police.
Officials say Connor Christner, 25, was reportedly found with heroin, cocaine, MDMA and multiple firearms late Wednesday night.
Authorities say troopers conducted a traffic stop of Christner's vehicle after it appeared that he was impaired.
Investigators say police discovered a needle inside the vehicle, which prompted a search.
Authorities say troopers discovered approximately 10 bricks of suspected heroin, two bags of cocaine and pills, multiple shotguns and other drug paraphernalia.
“I applaud the Troopers who conducted this stop and effectuated the seizure of these illegal drugs and firearms. My office is committed to making our town safer and we cannot succeed without the unwavering dedication of law enforcement with busts such as these,” said DA Metzgar.
According to online court records, Christner is being held at the Somerset County Prison on various drug-related charges and his bail has been set at $100,000.
