Ridgway community pool reopens, with new guidelines in place

RIDGWAY, Pa (WJAC) — The Lyle G. Hall community pool in Ridgway is now open for visitors.

Pool staff is encouraging social distancing, in and out of the pool.

Lounge chairs and picnic tables are available for use, and pool equipment will be cleaned on an hourly basis.

Up to 250 people will be allowed in the pool area at a time.

The staff says they are confident that they can move forward this summer, safely and effectively.

“This helps people to get active, have those relationships, have person to person relationships that we've been lacking for the last three months. I love the turnout and hopefully we can keep that going throughout the summer,” said volunteer Matt Bobby.

The pool will be open weekdays from noon to 7 p.m. and will be closed on weekends for cleaning and sanitizing.
