Bye Nina?! - General Hospital

Cynthia Watros confirmed on April 23rd of this year that the character of Nina is coming to an end and she enjoyed her journey. I didn’t think this was true but somebody mentioned it in another post and I researched and yes it is true, I’m sad to hear this she’s a character I and a lot of others love to hate. I am hoping that she is not killed off I hope Nina leaves town for a while which means she could eventually come back as she does have a daughter and grandkids in PC. I’m sad to hear this though.

I believe she was talking about the end of the Sonny/Nina and the metro court journey.

I hope that’s all it is but someone else mentioned that she was leaving the show. You know how rumors are we’ll just have to wait and find out. But I hope it’s not true.

She did post on her Twitter account on April 24th.

That makes me sad because I like her character a lot.

Let’s hope it’s only the end of the Nina/Sonny story and not a farewell to the Nina character.
Cynthia Watros has made Nina an integral part of GH. I can’t imagine tuning in and not seeing her actions as a number one vixen with all the dramatic trappings.

It read to me more like her referencing the journey of the Sonny and Nina love story and the Nina and Ava friendship. I think the best is yet to come. All women do better without Sonny.

Yes, women do seem to fare better without Sonny.
I truly thought that Carly and Sonny were end game. However, you saw the light in her eyes being restored with her relationship with Drew, her flirting with Cates and of course her joy in having Jason back on the scene.

As for Nina- she’ll have to lick her wounds and deal with Ava as she sees fit.
You’re right in that the best is yet to come for these women.

I found a 10/13 episode saved on my DVR last night and watched it which was Sonny and Nina’s wedding. Did she actually use the Corinthos name when she was married because I thought she always used Reeves?

There’s so much more interesting storylines in store for Nina. I’m really enjoying her without Sonny. Never liked them as a couple. Maxie said it best. We like Nina better when she’s NOT Mrs. Corinthos

I mentioned it and I hope I’m wrong. A friend sent me the tidbit. I’m not on Twitter or I guess it is called x. It sounded like she was leaving but maybe she did mean the story with Sonny and Ava. I hope so I think she is a really good actress and so many people hate her character so much they just want her gone so I guess it wouldn’t surprise me.

I just Googled it and asked the question if Cynthia Watros was leaving General Hospital and it said on April 24th she was thanking everyone for the long journey that she enjoyed but that Nina’s character is coming to an end.

I finally like Nina again and now she’s leaving. Bummer!!

Sounds like she is thnakful for the fans that support her with different couples, including Sonny and Valentine. It doesn’t sound like she is leaving the show though. Nothing official has been announced by GH that I have seen anywhere.
