Ink Masters Scott Marshall's Cause of Death: Accidental Heroin Overdose
It’s been almost two months since Ink Master star Scott Marshall was found dead in his Roselle, Illinois, hotel room at the age of 41. Now the Season 4 winner’s cause of death has been revealed.
The local Chicago NBC station reported earlier this month that Marshall suffered an accidental overdose of heroin and prescription drugs. TMZ adds that in addition to heroin, Xanax and Valium were found in his system. The coroner has called the death an accident due to intoxication.
The coroner also noted that marks on Marshall’s body implied that he had previously used intravenous drugs.
The night of his death, Marshall had reportedly phoned his wife, Johanna, to tell her he wasn’t feeling well, deciding to stay at a hotel near his Roselle Tattoo Company shop in Roselle, Illinois, instead of driving home. But when she didn’t hear from him again, Johanna called the authorities and Marshall was found dead.
He had appeared on the Spike TV competition series Ink Master in May 2014, winning the $100,000 grand prize. He is survived by Johanna and their three young children.
