Hyndman woman charged with assault, accused of throwing cell phone at young boy, PSP says
BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police in Bedford County say a Hyndman woman is behind bars, accused of assaulting a young boy by throwing a cell phone at him.
Troopers say on April 22nd, they were contact by CYS to investigate an alleged physical altercation between a 10-year-old boy and 33-year-old Kathryn Laber.
According to the affidavit, investigators say the incident reportedly occurred the day prior at a residence in Londonderry Township.
Police say Laber admitted to arguing with the young boy and then throwing a cell phone at him, striking him near his left eye.
Troopers say the child was taken to UPMC Bedford where he received multiple stiches.
According to online court records, Laber faces charges of felony aggravated assault and child endangerment.
She is housed at the Bedford County Jail on $150,000 bail.
