Johnstown Tomahawks new ownership group discusses vision for team, city

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — The Johnstown Tomahawks are preparing for their 2023-24 home opener this Saturday against New Hampshire.

6 Sports Jared Parker sat down with the team’s new ownership group to see what they envision for this upcoming season.

Tomahawks’ CEO John Koufis says the team is going to represent the identity of Johnstown with their play.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the 1st Summit Arena at the Cambria County War Memorial.

The Tomahawks also announced that Pittsburgh Penguins’ anthem singer Jeff Jimerson is scheduled to sing the anthem for the home opener.
