DuBois Community Days cancelled for 2024, organizers announce

According to a social media post from the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department, organizers announced Wednesday that the annual Community Days and Fireman's Parade events have been cancelled for this year.

Officials say the decision to cancel the events was due to "circumstances beyond control."

Organizers added that due to "time constraints and lack of donations," they are unable to organize and schedule entertainment for the event.

Officials say they hope to "reassess" the situation and have the event return in 2025.

“Community Days is a long-time staple of the DuBois area, and I sincerely hope that the event can be revived in the years to come," says Clearfield Co. Commission Chair, and resident of DuBois, Dave Glass.

The annual fundraising event had previously been cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
