Expensive Toys Celebrities & Rich Kids Love
All of us are trying our best as parents. When it comes to buying toys for our kids, even if we want to give them the world, we try to find what fits into our budgets, what will enrich their lives, and what won’t wind up making them spoiled brats. This means different things for different people, though.
Related story Amazon Has an Unbeatable Prime Exclusive Deal on a Set of UGG Cooling Bed Sheets for Just $19With no knowledge otherwise, we have to assume that the rich and famous are using the same criteria when stocking their kids’ nurseries and playrooms (in their multiple homes). It’s just that their toy budgets are a whole lot different from ours. We’ve noticed this in brief glimpses during reality shows, and in much more detail in the various social media posts certain Kardashian-Jenner moms share on their kids’ birthdays. From life-size Trolls to custom kiddie cars to play houses that look bigger than our apartments, these children are living it up.
Do we wish we could build an entire pirate ship in our own backyard? Of course. Do we think that money would be better spent feeding the hungry? Probably! At the same time, we really don’t begrudge Blue Ivy her rumored $80,000 diamond-encrusted Barbie. There’s no reason Suri Cruise shouldn’t have had her own Victorian retreat from the paparazzi. And we’re sure some tech tycoon’s son absolutely deserves to have his very own video arcade in the basement. Because if we had the cash, we’d do the same.
Perusing this gallery is much like gazing at the photos of our favorite stars’ homes when they go on the market. They take us to that same fantasy that is so far out of our reach as to be pure entertainment instead of envy. We’re online window shopping.
Then again, maybe some of these toys are in your budget. In which case, please do click through and make your purchases, and tell ’em we sent you!

American Girl Doll Surf Bus
We’re starting you off on an easy, almost accessible toy. This VW bus has so many perfect details — a surfboard that fits in the rack above; a mattress, blanket, and pillows for overnight surf trips; every food necessary for a beach picnic; a movie projector; a first aid kit; a surf magazine, and more. Unfortunately, it’s only big enough for American Girl Doll Joss and her friends, not for you. But also, it’s big enough for those 18-inch-dolls, which means it’s going to be the centerpiece of any normal-size home, so you’d better like it!
American Girl Doll Surf Bus$650
Mini Bentley
Maybe what you really want is a car your toddler can drive — after all, your estate is so huge no one can actually walk it. Dream Kardashian, True Thomspon, Stormi Webster, and Chicago West have all tooled around in their own battery-powered Bentleys, which start at $1999, but can have other features added on, like $499 custom rims.
Luxury Kids Bentley$1,999.00
CXC Race Car Simulator
From a battery powered car for toddlers, we’re skipping ahead to this toy that’s probably not suited for anyone younger than a teenager. If you’re a billionaire with a kid who really likes speed, this might be a good bribe to get them to stay indoors and off the road. The price tag is a lot less than any damage they’d do IRL.
CXC Race Car Simulator$57,000.00
La Belle Au Bois Dormant Coach
Here is another vehicle-themed toy that should absolutely never go outside (this photo notwithstanding). With intricately carved wood and 100 percent silk upholstery, this is actually a kids bed from a brand beloved by celebrity parents, including Beyoncé and Jay Z. What dreams we would have sleeping in a creation like this!
La Belle Au Bois Dormant Coach$70,000.00
Pirate Hideaway Tree House
There’s no need to settle for a swing set when you can instead order this pirate ship tree house (no tree required) that looks like it came straight from a movie set. We hope it’s sturdier than it looks.
Pirate Hideaway Tree House$22,595.00
Custom Barbie Doll
So, you cannot just go to Mattel’s site or a Target and ask for a Barbie dripping with diamonds, like the one Blue Ivy is rumored to have received for her first birthday. (That rumor was never confirmed, btw.) You can, however, enlist one of the many talented artists of Etsy to customize a Barbie with couture fashion and even new hair.
The Red Beauty Dream Doll$715.00
Stuffed Tiger
Raise your own little Tiger King or Queen, while keeping all their limbs intact! This is from Neiman Marcus, which is also selling a not-quite-life-size zebra from the same luxury toymaker Hansa.
40$1,092.00
Milton & Goose Play Kitchen
What sets this play kitchen apart from all others? Well, instead of particle board or plastic, this classy set is made from solid birch and maple by Amish artisans. Only the best for your little chef!
Milton & Goose Play Kitchen$1,599.00
Neiman Marcus Play Store
We can’t guarantee that your kids are even going to have department stores when they grow up — or even next year, for that matter. This play store might be all you have to remember them by.
Neiman Marcus Play Store$450.00
Barbara Butler Play House
Suri Cruise once reportedly received a $24,000 Victorian-style playhouse with running water and electricity for her birthday. That price won’t get you something quite so fancy today, but you can still buy your child a respectable cottage by famous play structure architect Barbara Butler for $29,000.
Barbara Butler Play House$29,000.00
Barbara Butler Tree House
People have been known to drop closer to $200,000 for the elaborate custom tree houses that architect Barbara Butler designs. We actually wouldn’t mind living full time in some of them.
Atherton Tree House$199,890.00
NAO the International Research Robot
He may just be 2 feet tall, but this guy walks, speaks 500 languages, can be programmed via WiFi, and dances better than many humans we know. Even with all the Siris and Alexas in our lives, it’s amazing how much attachment we form to something that looks just a little bit like a person.
International Research Robot$9,000.00
The Three-Dimensional Labyrinth Orb
Worried that your kid spends too much time on screens? Here’s a three-dimensional puzzle that should either keep them entertained for days on end or make them want to hurl it out a plate glass window. We hope you know their temperament well enough to guess which it will be.
Three-Dimensional Labyrinth Orb$40,000.00
Giant Tropical Marble Double Lane Water Slide
It’s going to be a while before amusement parks and water parks are a thing again. That makes us think an inflatable slide like this (or even just a bounce house, which you can also purchase on Amazon) might actually be a sound investment.
Giant Tropical Water Slide$5,299.99
