Bedbugs invade movie theater in Pennsylvania

There's been a bedbug outbreak at a movie theater in Pennsylvania during one of the biggest weekends for the box office.

According to the Susquehanna Township Codes Department, evidence of bedbugs were discovered at the Regal Movie Theater in Susquehanna Township recently.

The Susquehanna Township Codes Department said the theater took immediate action to resolve the problem.

Bedbugs feed on blood and can cause itchy bites and irritation, but they do not transmit disease.

All of the theaters were closed while pest control experts remedied the situation.

The movie theater has since reopened but is operating on a limited schedule.

Due to technical difficulties, we are only running a limited schedule today, and unfortunately some showtimes had to be cancelled," according to a notice on a door at the theater.
