ADAMS TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Another ballpark has been burglarized and vandalized, the second such incident in Cambria County in recent weeks.

Approximately $3,500 in damage was reported at the Adams Township Little League's clubhouse, and officials want to catch who is responsible for the act.

"They drove the tractor around inside, smashing into things, so there's a lot of damages," league president Bryan Arrington said.

"It's disgusting - it's pathetic, obviously, juvenile," he said. "I feel with all the hours we put out here, it's like your home gets broken into, but it's also a very expensive problem for us."

The roof, the concession stand and ballpark equipment were extensively damaged.

"They broke tables and chairs inside our clubhouse, wrote vulgarity on the whiteboard, left some drug references on the whiteboard, then they broke into our concession stand, smashed the locks off there, (and) discharged the fire extinguisher," Arrington said.

"So (they) pretty ruined much all the supplies we had in there."

Servpro officials spent most of Monday morning removing hazardous material from the fire extinguishers that were sprayed. They are making sure it's safe to serve food on opening day.

Opening day is set for May 7.

The league is planning a fundraiser on May 21 at the St. Michael Sportsman's Club.

The investigation is continuing.

Adams Township police said they're still looking for leads. Anyone with information is asked to call 814-487-4712.
